COMSAE · Phase 2

This content represents the updated version of COMSAE Phase 2 for candidates taking the COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE on or after May 14th, 2019. Candidates taking the COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE before June 17th, 2019 can view the current documentation by clicking here.

The COMSAE phase 2 consists of content, scoring, and reporting similar to the corresponding COMLEX-USA Level-2 cognitive examination.

Evaluation Components

The content of COMSAE Phase 2 is defined by the same seven categories as the COMLEX-USA content outline for Dimension 1 – Competency Domains and the same ten categories for Dimension 2 – Clinical Presentations.

Dimension 2 consists of 10 Clinical Presentations, which represent the manner in which a particular patient, group of patients, or a community presents for osteopathic medical care.
