Score Confirmation

Before releasing examination results or posting score reports, the NBOME conducts a thorough quality assurance process to ensure scoring accuracy.

Confirmation for any COMLEX-USA examination can be provided by request, if submitted within 120 days of the examination. Requests are processed through your NBOME account, located within the “View Scores” section. The option for submitting this request is listed at the bottom of the page. The NBOME does not release information about the scoring of individual examination questions.

COMLEX-USA cognitive computer-based examination score confirmation delivers responses recorded by a computer. Because score confirmation is limited solely to the review of the responses recorded by the computer, it is unlikely to change the candidate score. We ensure that all subsections were complete and that your responses were graded against the proper examination form.

Interpreting Examination Scores

In order to avoid misinterpretation, keep in mind that performance profiles:

The conversion of standard scores involves information about the performance of candidates who have taken these examinations previously. The percentage of candidates who pass or fail the examination is not predetermined. Some test questions may be included in the examination primarily for research purposes and do not contribute to the candidate’s score.
