AOF Elects J. Michael Finley, DO, to Board of Directors

Philadelphia, PA The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) is honored to welcome J. Michael Finley, DO, NBOME Senior Vice President for Assessment, to its Board of Directors for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2019.

A committed educator, Dr. Finley previously served as NBOME Board member and as a National Faculty member, as well as the associate dean of graduate and clinical medical education at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California and chief academic officer for OPTI – West Educational Consortium. He was also named AOF’s W. Douglas Ward, PhD, Educator of the Year in 2015.

Dr. Finley earned his DO degree from Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He has completed the AOA/Ohio University–Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Health Policy Fellowship in 2015 and is currently enrolled in the Association of American Medical Colleges’ GME Leadership Development Certificate Program.
