COMAT-SE (Self Evaluation) is a new learning assessment tool for osteopathic medical students to reinforce their medical knowledge and determine any areas needed for additional study. Hosted on the CATALYST platform, COMAT-SE provides questions that follow the same blueprint as COMAT Clinical exams.
The NBOME is offering a 20 percent discount on COMAT-SE Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP), available now for $24. The discount will automatically be applied via Portal to purchases made through April 30, 2024.
COMAT-SE offers additional learning resources to assist you in your studies. After responding to each question, you’ll recieve the correct answer, the rationale for why that answer is correct, and references for further study.
Unlike traditional examinations that give you a one-time snapshot of your performance after you’ve completed the exam, COMAT-SE uses an easy-to-read review panel that provides real-time progress to help you close the gaps in your knowledge.
COMAT-SE is also convenient, accessible 24/7 on your smartphone, tablet, desktop, or on the CATALYST app. It’s also customizable; you can answer one question, or as many as you like, on your own time.
As of November 2, 2023, COMAT-SE is only available as a tool for the Osteopathic Principles & Practice (OPP) Clinical exam, but is expected to expand to Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics clinical exams in the future.
