We encourage candidates to take advantage of the practice and preparation resources provided on our website. These resources are designed to assist the candidate in preparing for and navigating through the examination experience. The NBOME is not affiliated with and does not endorse any commercial test preparation resources.

COMSAE

The NBOME offers the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Self-Assessment Examination (COMSAE) series for osteopathic students and residents to prepare for COMLEX-USA. We encourage use of the COMSAE series to gauge a candidate’s knowledge base and ability to prepare for each Level of the COMLEX-USA examination series. COMSAE is not intended to predict specific performance on any of the COMLEX-USA examinations. However, candidates who have taken a timed COMSAE before taking their first COMLEX-USA at the corresponding Level demonstrate greater proficiency, on average, relative to candidates who did not take a timed COMSAE before their first COMLEX-USA examination.
