COMAT Administration

The NBOME will partner with your school or college of osteopathic medicine (COM) to tailor COMAT administration to meet your specific needs.
COMAT is delivered through a secure browser on a PC or Mac or on an iPad through the eCOMAT app. Same-day scheduling is available for all delivery options, providing flexibility for multi-site and off-campus administration when minimum technology requirements are met.
Each COM must designate a COMAT coordinator to oversee all administrative tasks.

Please Note: The delivery platform does not support touch screen monitors, as they may affect certain examination functionality. To ensure the assessment performs correctly, please use a keyboard and mouse to navigate the exam.

COMAT examinations are offered continuously throughout the year Monday through Friday, except for the following dates:

Examination Security
The NBOME is committed to the convenient and secure delivery of all computer-based tests, including the COMAT series. Each exam in the COMAT series has multiple forms, allowing COMs to securely administer a given COMAT subject exam multiple times per year.
In addition to ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the electronic examinations, the NBOME will not disclose personal data to any third party (individual or entity) without written, signed consent or a court order.
