        use of COMLEX-USA in residency education,
        including in the program application process but also
        for milestone attestation in residency education.
           Likewise with many of the NBOME’s other high-
        stakes assessments such as those with our specialty
        (e.g., American Osteopathic Association’s [AOA] OCC
        program), the catalytic effect of assessment remains
        a consideration. Even prior to the AOA’s House of
        Delegates approval of a resolution in July 2016 to
        explore “alternate means to assess ongoing
        physician competence” for the AOA’s OCC, the
        NBOME had been further developing its OPAIM
        program as well as a new assessment platform and
        concept, CATALYST.
