October 5, 2021

Dina Tsourdinis, MSA, CPA, joined the NBOME as vice president for finance & chief financial officer, effective October 5. She will provide oversight of the organization’s fiscal operations and work to ensure its strong financial future.

Most recently, Tsourdinis served as associate vice president of finance for Adler University. In that role, she oversaw the operations of accounting, finance, and student finance, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, internal controls, cost management, regulatory reporting and financial analysis.

Prior to that, she held several financial leadership positions in the non-profit and education sectors, including ChildServ, SOS Children’s Villages, Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and the University of Illinois.

For 20 years, Tsourdinis has served as an adjunct instructor of accounting for graduate and undergraduate students at St. Xavier University Graham School of Business in Chicago. In this role she also trained and hired more than 60 students as part of an accounting internship program she developed.

“Dina’s well-documented track record of success as a leader in finance, accounting, and business operations, and as a strategic visionary in the higher education arena, makes her an ideal fit for this position, and for the NBOME,” said John R. Gimpel, DO, MEd, president and CEO.

Tsourdinis received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She will be based in the organization’s Chicago office.
