The NBOME offers an electronic on-line registration system to facilitate candidate registration and to provide information to candidates about the COMLEX-USA examination and the NBOME. All candidates MUST use this system in order to register, pay for examinations, schedule tests, cancel an examination, withdraw from an examination, reschedule an examination, receive refunds or credits, obtain the schedule of test dates, and choose location at which to test. It is also where the candidate will find the most current information about policies and procedures applicable to testing and other items of interest to candidates. Once in the system, the candidate should follow instructions and on-screen prompts to be able to correctly use the system to accomplish what is required by the candidate. 1. Registration Code 2. NBOME Registration 3. Scheduling an Examination Date & Test Center Candidates may register and schedule an examination as early as six (6) months in advance of a scheduled test date, provided that they are eligible. Candidates are strongly advised to schedule at least 90 days before a scheduled test date in order to increase the likelihood that they will obtain the date when and where they wish to test. To begin the scheduling process, candidates will be prompted to choose their desired state in which they wish to test. In order to schedule an examination date, candidates must have registered with the NBOME registration system and have their NBOME six-digit identification number available. After entering their NBOME identification number, the candidate will be given a list of test centers from which to choose in the state they entered. Once a test center has been chosen, a calendar of available test dates at that test center will be provided. If their preferred test date is no longer available, candidates may choose to browse alternate test centers to find the test date of their choosing. ADA candidates are reminded that they may not register for an accommodated examination until their request has been approved by the NBOME in writing. 4. Scheduling Confirmation 5. REGISTRATION WARNING: NBOME RULES REQUIRE THAT AN ELIGIBLE AND APPROVED CANDIDATE MUST SCHEDULE TO TEST MORE THAN 120 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE SCHEDULED DATE AND TIME IN ORDER TO TEST. NO CANDIDATES WILL BE ALLOWED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITHIN 120 HOURS OF THE SCHEDULED TEST DATE AND TIME. |
