NBOME Mission

The NBOME Welcomes You

Welcome to the gateway for information concerning osteopathic medical licensure, bio-medical and clinical self-assessment and clinical skills performance.

The NBOME has created this web portal to provide all interested a resource location to understand and  explore osteopathic medical assessment.

Score Release Information

The following COMLEX-USA examination scores have been mailed and are available online:
  • Level 1 examinations taken on or before January 16, 2012.
  • Level 2-CE examinations taken on or before January 25, 2012.
  • Level 2-PE examinations taken on or before December 31, 2011.
  • Level 3 examinations taken on or before January 26, 2012.
   
The COMLEX Level 1, Level 2 CE, and Level 3 examinations report both three-digit and two-digit standard scores. The minimal passing 3-digit standard score for Level 1 and Level 2 (CE) is 400, for Level 3 is 350. The two-digit standard score is directly converted from a three-digit score such that 75 is designated as the minimum two-digit passing score. A two-digit score is NOT a percentile score or the percentage of items answered correctly.

COMLEX-USA Bulletin of Information Updated

The NBOME recently released its updated COMLEX-USA Bulletin of Information (BOI) for 2011-2012. It is available here . The COMLEX-USA BOI effectively serves as a candidate’s “how to” guide for the COMLEX-USA series of examinations, covering information on eligibility, fees, examination descriptions, scheduling, transcripts and much more. It also constitutes a legal contract and outlines a candidate’s obligations with respect to confidentiality, professional behavior and irregular conduct.

No major policy updates were made to the BOI in this cycle. Candidate should note that the Terms and Conditions were moved to the beginning of the document, as they represent the important points to which candidates agrees he or she is legally bound.

COMLEX-USA Level 2-Performance Evaluation Materials Updated





In addition, the orientation guide and instructional video for the COMLEX-USA Level 2-Performance Evaluation were both updated and are available on the NBOME website.

NEW! COMAT Practice Examinations



Recently added to the NBOME website are practice examinations for the COMAT series of subject exams. They can be found here along with examination blueprints and content outlines.
